Affordable 3D Printed Homes

It only costs $4,000 to 3D print this house. 

This 800 Sq-Foot Home was printed in less than 24 Hrs and it is being used to fight Homelessness. The NGO - New Story teamed with construction tech company Icon to create the VULCAN 3D Printer, which prints low-cost single-story homes. 

Globally a billion people lack affordable housing and this technology could lower that number dramatically. The Vulcan's first home was unveiled in Austin, Texas. A community of 100 homes will be printed in El Salvador by 2019. The company says the low-cost home is built using "cutting-edge materials tested to the most recognized standards of safety, comfort, and resiliency."
